About
Making industrial energy
optimization practical
FactoryLens is a German software company building tools that help manufacturing SMEs understand and reduce their energy consumption — with full transparency, no black boxes, and no vendor lock-in.
Why we exist
The problem we saw
Manufacturing companies suffer from steadily rising energy costs. At the same time, transparency about actual energy consumption is often lacking. The path from raw measurements to decisions that save energy and money is undefined.
Standby losses go unnoticed for months. Recommendations from consultants lack the evidence to convince plant managers. Data stays trapped in silos that never connect to action.
We started FactoryLens to close that gap: a platform that takes the data you already have and turns it into recommendations you can actually trace, trust, and act on.
Values
What guides our work
Reliability before complexity
We ship tools that work in real industrial environments — not demos that break on messy data. A simple, correct answer beats a complex, fragile one.
Traceability in every recommendation
Every insight our platform produces links back to the measurement that triggered it. If you can’t trace it, you can’t trust it.
Openness about limits
We tell you when confidence is low, when data is missing, and when a recommendation isn’t reliable. Honest tools build lasting trust.
Practical proximity
We build for the people who stand next to the machines — energy managers, maintenance leads, plant operators. Their reality shapes our product.
Human-first
Our platform supports decision-making — it doesn’t replace it. Humans approve every action. Automation serves people, not the other way around.
Transparent
We show you what the platform sees — including when data is incomplete, confidence is low, or an anomaly was mis-classified. No hidden decisions.
Practical
We build for real industrial environments — messy data, legacy systems, tight security requirements. Our product works where it matters most.
