1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

FactoryLens Germany

Email: contact@factorylens.de

The data controller decides alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g., names, contact details, etc.).

2. Data Collection on This Website

When you visit our website, our web server temporarily stores the following data for technical reasons:

• IP address of the requesting device • Date and time of access • Name and URL of the file accessed • Website from which access was made (referrer URL) • Browser used and operating system of the requesting device • Name of your internet service provider

This data is processed for the purpose of enabling the use of the website (connection establishment), ensuring system security and stability, and optimizing our website.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose of its collection, typically when the session ends.

3. Contact Form

When you use our contact form, the data you provide (name, email address, company, message) is transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered by email to the mailboxes of our founders in order to process your inquiry and for follow-up questions. We do not store your message in a database and we do not share this data without your consent. After submitting the form you receive an automatic confirmation email.

The emails are sent and received via Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES and AWS Lambda, region eu-central-1, Frankfurt am Main, Germany) as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Emails you send to contact@factorylens.de are temporarily stored there in encrypted form for up to 14 days for technical delivery purposes and then deleted automatically.

To protect the form against abuse, a pseudonymized (salted hash) value of your IP address and email address is kept for a short period (typically up to 48 hours) to limit the number of submissions (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

The processing of the data entered into the contact form is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The emails containing your inquiry remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.

4. Hosting

Our website is hosted on servers within the European Union (AWS eu-central-1, Frankfurt am Main, Germany). The hosting provider processes the data described above on our behalf.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and, where applicable, a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed and to request access to that data. • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data under certain conditions. • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request the restriction of processing under certain conditions. • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR): You have the right to withdraw consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. • Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR.

6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes. Only technically necessary cookies may be used to ensure the proper functioning of the website. These cookies are essential and do not require your consent under the GDPR.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
